RMN / RNLD Staff Nurse

Service: Mental Health & Learning Disability Hospital

Location: Taunton, Somerset

Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (fully inclusive of enhancements), negotiable depending on experience

Hours: 42 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Further Details: A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a substantially motivated, experienced and skilled RMN or RNLD to work for one of the UK's largest independent providers of mental health and social care pathways. The hospital has been newly refurbished and is located in a picturesque rural setting on the outskirts of Taunton. The Hospital provides specialist complex care for older people (aged 65 years ) with organic and / or functional mental health needs and also holistically supporting their presenting physical health needs.

Location: Taunton is well served by a mainline train service and a 10 minute drive from junction 25 of the M5 motorway.

Person Specification: We are looking for enthusiastic RMN's & RNLD's with excellent interpersonal skills and a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act. You will need to be flexible as our shift rota is based on long days, nights and alternate weekends and self-motivated to work in this unique and sometimes challenging, yet rewarding environment. Successful applicants should demonstrate their ability to maintain high standards of care and be professionally responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. A high standard of record keeping which demonstrates service user and / or family / carer engagement is expected.
