Staff Nurse - Scrub- RGN

Job Description

Nuffield Health, one of the UK’s leading healthcare organisations, is currently seeking to recruit a Staff Scrub Nurse to join the team in our busy Theatre Department on a full time (375 hours per week) permanent basis. Note - We will also consider applications from any applicants who wish to work part time hours.

As a registered practitioner with demonstrable Theatre scrub experience you will deliver high quality clinical patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. Experience in orthopaedics would be desirable.

Your duties will include supervising and supporting some staff in the delivery of care, and providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs. With appropriate training and support, you will take charge of a shift without direct supervision, and undertake clinical responsibility for senior staff when they are absent.

You will administer medicines in accordance with NMC guidelines, Nuffield policies and procedures, whilst participating in the on-call rota for specific clinical areas, eg Theatre/HDU to ensure adequate cover is provided. You will also be registered with the appropriate governing body and have qualifications applicable to the registration requirements with experience gained through formal training.

The role requires proactively identifying the need and expectations of customers and striving to meet these. You will ensure your own work meets the required standards, encourage the same in others and identify improvement opportunities.
