Ward 5B is the vascular unit for the Trust , accepting both elective and emergency admissions from the whole of the county. It is a 25 bedded unit undertaking carotid and EVAR surgery as well as the management of complex wounds .
You will be responsible for assessing the patients care needs and the planning and delivery of their nursing care. As part of your role, you will participate in the prevention and control of infection practices participating in research / clinical audits where appropriate. You will act as a role model by upholding and implementing good practice in the workplace, always ensuring the highest standards of patient care and demonstrating commitment to your ongoing professional development. You will be required to communicate with other members of the multi disciplinary team to facilitate safe and timely discharges acting as an advocate for your patients and their carers. You will also be given the opportunity to experience clinics as well as ward work where the ability to prioritise and organise your workload will be paramount.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team on 5B. You will be a first level registered nurse with evidence of continuing personal development and recent experience in a hospital or community setting.
