At Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust we are seeking individuals who want to contribute to our vision of providing patient centred and compassionate nursing care. We are now looking for Band 5 RMN’s for our two progressive, 15 bedded adult acute admissions wards based at the Wellsprings Hospital in Taunton. The wards have state-of-the-art facilities, as our whole building has recently undergone a major re-design and refurbishment. It provides a specifically designed, modern, bright and comfortable environment for individuals admitted to our service as well as offering our staff a better working environment.

You will be joining a dynamic and innovative multidisciplinary team that works within the site’s new acute inpatient service structure, which also includes a 10 bedded psychiatric Intensive care unit and an ECTAS accredited ECT service. We believe that this structure and scale provides the successful candidates with excellent clinical development opportunities including the opportunity to work with our dedicated S136 suite and to be involved in our prestigious inpatient contract with the Ministry of Defence.

We are heavily committed to quality improvement and innovation and we underpin our service values with those of recovery, involvement and the Positive and Proactive Care/ Reducing Restrictive Practice program. We are also a member of the ‘Sign up to Safety’ Campaign and will now be working towards the Royal College of Psychiatrists AIMS accreditation.

The successful candidates will be confident, approachable, and sensitive to the issues faced by people who are in the most acute and challenging phase of their journey towards recovery. As a team player you will work creatively, showing a commitment to providing compassionate care with a strong desire to improve patient experience.

You will receive regular supervision and annual appraisal and will be offered training opportunities to meet your Personal Development Plan.
