We are interested in hearing from people who can make a difference with their dedication, expertise, compassion and positive outlook.

Pyrland Ward are seeking individuals who want to contribute to Somerset Partnership’s vision of providing compassionate nursing care.

Are you a mental health staff nurse ready to join our multidisplinary team that is dedicated and motivated about working with older people?

Pyrland Ward consists of two wards both of which offer assessment and treatment to older people with mental health problems. Part of the role includes leading a team during the shift, providing evidenced based care to our clients and working collaboratively with our community team colleagues to ensure that the admission and discharge process is effective.

Successful applicants will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of treatment plans within the inpatient wards ensuring high quality care.

You will provide nursing care to all your patients ensuring that patients are treated with dignity and respect. You will be an advocate to promote a safe and lively environment within the unit.

In return you will receive enhanced payments for weekend work, a generous holiday entitlement and pension scheme. A relocation package is also available. This is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your ability, whilst continually improving services and providing hands on care to our service users.

If you are looking to relocate, Somerset is sure to surprise you with its contrasting landscapes and diverse population. The county lies south of Bristol and North of Exeter and has fantastic links to the rest of the country. Whatever pace of life you’re looking for, Somerset has a place to suit. There are large vibrant towns with many villages and hamlets as a contrast. The county boasts fantastic arts and sports facilities, spectacular shopping centres and breath taking scenery – from the wilds of Exmoor to the beaches of Burnham-On-Sea – in short; there is something for everyone.
