An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse on Mercury Ward.
Mercury is a 35 bed medical ward within the Unscheduled Care Division. Half of the ward specialises in the care of patients with cardiac conditions, and the other half specialises in endocrine conditions,
We need a high standard of care for our patients in a challenging setting and are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic, highly motivated person to join our dedicated and friendly team on Mercury Ward. Good communication skills are imperative for this post. There is an opportunity to develop and gain new skills by undertaking various courses and putting these skills into practice. The post holder will need to be reliable, punctual and flexible and preferably working within a previous health care setting or experience of working with the public.

All new starters with the Trust will be subject to a six month probationary period. The probationary period works alongside the induction process to help create a positive and supportive working environment that allows new staff to learn the key elements of the role within a reasonable and realistic timescale.
Current employees should be aware that this position is advertised as a GWH position and appointment ends any TUPE protection.
All candidates that are offered a position after the 1st July 2016 will be required to pay for their own DBS checks if one is required for the post they are offered. For standard DBS checks the cost is £26 and will recovered from the first months pay; for enhanced DBS checks the cost is £44 and will be split over the first 2 months pay. (£22 each month)
If you are offered a bank post that requires a DBS you will need to pay for this prior to commencing.
