Are you looking for a role where you can spend time caring for individuals and their families?
Would you like to work in an environment where you can provide high quality care in a safe and therapeutic environment?
Who are we and what do we do?
Glenside are the largest provider of specialist neurological rehabilitation in the South. We are recruiting Staff nurses for our 14 bedded service in our on-site hospital and two on-site specialist slow-stream rehabilitation care homes which have between 22 and 14 beds each.
Our Neuro Behavioural pathway provides care and rehabilitation for individuals with complex cognitive, physical and behavioural and emotional support needs and can support those detained under the Mental Health Act.
Our nurses are a vital part of our teams, working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Psychologists to provide personalised person-centred care.
We employ a high staff to service user ratio which means our nurses get to do what they do best; caring for individuals and their families. Our Nurses provide rehabilitation and care that enables the people we support to maximise independence and improve the quality of their life.
Our service users are supported in a variety of environments which are appropriate for their individual needs; from our hospital to our care homes and through to our simulated independent living bungalows. All of these services are provided on the same site, located in the beautiful countryside just outside Salisbury.
What we offer to you
We offer lots of support and development opportunities from in house training and support with revalidation to access to specialist training opportunities. We are committed to retaining our great staff and therefore we promote career development opportunities to our existing staff ranging from Senior Staff Nurse posts through to Management opportunities.
You will work within enthusiastic and caring teams where every member is committed to providing care which enables our service users to achieve the very best outcomes possible. You will have the opportunity to work within an MDT who are constantly looking for ways to improve outcomes for our service users.
The size of our organisation enables us to not only individualise the support given to all new employees but for those employees to have a direct line to senior management.
All of our Nurses have access to peer to peer support forums and have the opportunity to get involved in a number of service development and improvement committees.
What we are looking for
Our Staff Nurses help to set the tone within our services. We are looking for individuals who can provide a positive influence while identifying development opportunities for staff they manage.
You will be at the heart of a multi-disciplinary team which includes Rehabilitation Assistants, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy Physiotherapy and Psychology. You should have either experience or an interest in neuro rehabilitation with the skills and empathy to support individuals and their families through the rehabilitation journey.
We are looking for individuals who are constantly looking for opportunities to develop innovative solutions to improving quality of care.
Of course experience is important, but as important are the personal qualities you will bring to Glenside. We are looking for people who can display kindness, empathy and a genuine dedication to assisting people in the steps they take while celebrating each success no matter how big or small.
We value the diversity of our staff and welcome applications from diverse communities.
