We are expanding our service and are looking to recruit Staff Nurses to our Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Ward 44. This is a highly specialised ward caring for patients with varied malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions including patients who have undergone complex bone marrow transplants.
We are one of the major units in the country who offer chemotherapy, bone marrow transplants, sickle cell anaemia care and haemophilia care in a state of the art, purpose built unit. Central Manchester Foundation Trust is a centre of excellence for care and research and you will be expected to work with the rest of the nursing team and liaise very closely with other members of the MDT to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care and experience. You will be encouraged to expand and develop your knowledge, skills and competencies within a supported and friendly environment.
The job is challenging and interesting as the treatments are different for each patient and so their care and needs are different too. The trials and protocols are varied and there are lots to learn. We are a friendly, experienced team, who strive to deliver excellent patient care and we spend time with the patients, their families and hope that this encourages better care.
