The Hospice in the Hospital is a unique partnership between United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust, South West Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group and St Barnabas Hospice Trust. The Unit, based on the Grantham Hospital site, provides six nurse-led, community beds and provides care for patients who meet the following criteria:
Admissions to the Unit are planned and pre-emptive prescribing and advanced care planning are routinely undertaken to enable care to be delivered with minimal support from general practitioners. The Unit is not a “stand alone facility” and is integrated into the wider Grantham Hospital Site with senior nurse manager and nurse support provided from the wider Grantham Hospital.

What we’re looking for…..
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed current first level registered Nurse who is able to demonstrate an understanding and passion for palliative care. Suitable candidates will have previous experience of working with palliative and end of life patients either in an acute setting or the community. Prior experience of working autonomously is an advantage.
Suitable candidates must be able to evidence continued learning and development . A post registration qualification in palliative and/or end of life care would be desirable.
