Job Description

Transform your outlook, transform local healthcare, transform your career…

Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is on a journey. Out of special measures and with some bold and exciting plans for the future, we are an ambitious trust that is going places, and we want you to join us.

With three hospitals, including our flagship Queen’s Hospital, across the central regions of East and South Staffordshire and Southern Derbyshire, we are at the forefront of discussions about transforming local healthcare.

Will you come with us on our journey to Be The Best? Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for.

SALARY £21,909-£28,462

The Emergency Department at Burton Hospitals is looking for bright, dynamic, registered nurses who feel that they are ready to develop their career in this exciting and demanding field of medicine.

Whilst experience in ED or acute medicine is desirable, we would like to talk to any nurses that have a passion for excellence and enjoy a challenge.

You will be supported by our experienced staff and have ED competencies to work through, once you have completed these, candidates would be developed towards the completion of courses such as ILS, ALS, PILS, and our Senior nurses are expected to complete EPLS, this is in addition to all of the skills an ED nurse requires such as plastering, venepuncture and cannulation.

This is a very exciting time to join a progressive team that are committed to providing excellent standards of non-elective and emergency care. So if you enjoy the challenges of a busy dynamic Emergency Department and you are passionate about providing excellent patient care we would like to hear from you.
