Job Description

B1 is a 14 bedded unit. All side rooms and patients can be transferred from any speciality in the hospital.

We are a small friendly team and work slightly differently to other areas. All our patients are nursed in closed, single rooms due to a range of infectious diseases.

We pride ourselves in quality and high standards of care on B1.

Infections that are routinely managed on B1:

  • MRSA- Meticillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
  • ESBL – Extended spectrum beta lactamase producers
  • C,diff - Clostridium difficile
  • Chicken pox
  • Salmonella
  • Campylobacter
  • TB
  • CPE
  • VRE
  • and others.

We are a small, friendly Ward. We are a supportive Team and offer full support to all new starters and we actively encourage further development.
