Band 19 - Staff Nurse on Henderson Ward, Thornbury Community Hospital, Nr. Bristol.

Fulltime opportunity available

An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen and we are looking to recruit a fulltime dynamic, innovative and forward thinking nurse to work in the in-patient rehabilitation and direct admission ward on Henderson at Thornbury Hospital.

You will be involved in providing the 24 hour provision of high quality patient-centred care as well as assisting the management in the day to day running of the unit.

You will be part of a multi disciplinary team that is responsible for delivering excellent outcome focused care for all our patients by ensuring that staff are assessing, planning and implementing individualised programmes of care and that clinical policies and agreed practices are followed to enable a safe and timely discharge back to home or on to a placement. As a determined, well organised, strong and effective nurse you will have an ability to inspire, develop and support the ward team.

Working with the Sisters, Nurse Practitioner as well as the wider multidisciplinary team on the ward you will be involved in developing effective and innovative ways of delivering the wider QIPP and related agenda especially in relation to the role that Community Hospitals can play in the reduction of emergency admissions and other related key targets.

All posts include a commitment to work: days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays. Our shift patterns include short and long days and night shifts.
