Job Description

We are able to offer this excellent opportunity for trained nurses (Band 5) to develop their knowledge and skills within a Community Hospital setting.

Calthorpe Unit, Fleet Community Hospital is an 18 bedded rehabilitation unit. Current changes in policy, both local and national, makes this an exciting and challenging time to work in community hospitals as they move towards a Integrated model. For example, the role will include the covering of weekend clinics and IV therapy.

We are looking for enthusiastic nurses who have interest in working with elderly patients with complex needs requiring assessment and treatment to prevent admission to acute care. You will be working alongside members of the multi-disciplinary team to deliver person centred care to the standard required.

Good communication skills are required with this complex patient group, their relatives, carers, and members of the wider multi-disciplinary team.

The successful candidate will be working predominantly nights with internal rotation to work day shifts. You will be supported to develop nursing and leadership skills and should be prepared to undertake further training as required. We have access to an excellent Learning & Development Programme which provides excellent opportunities for Learning beyond Registration
