We are recruiting enthusiastic, caring and compassionate Band 5 Registered Nurses for our multi-disciplinary team at Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital. Staff will need to be flexible as they may be required to move to other sites within Swale. All nurses will be required to take part in internal rotation.
Sittingbourne, set in the Garden of England and surrounded by beautiful countryside, is on the route of the high-speed HS1 train making London just over an hour away.
Sittingbourne Memorial Hospital has 23 beds and specialise in the rehabilitation of patients and end-of-life care.
We have an immediate vacancy for the right person who can work as part of a dedicated team of professionals passionate about delivering excellent, compassionate care with high clinical standards.
As a Staff Nurse you will deal with a variety of patients and conditions and contribute to the overall performance of the team by being a proactive, enthusiastic team m Working alongside our team of dedicated professionals including (eg therapists and healthcare assistants) the team has a great professional support network which includes regular interaction and team meetings that allows us to grow, learn and develop together.
The role will also involve:
Caring for patients, families, each other
•Actively listening, understanding and responding to patients
•Delivering, monitoring and maintaining our high standards of care
•Being an active and participating member of the team sharing best practicewhenever possible
•A commitment to ongoing improvement and development of the service
The essential qualities we are looking for in our Staff Nurse applicants are:
•1st Level Registration as an RGN
•Excellent communication and time management skills
•Ability to work both independently and also as part of the wider multidisciplinary team
•Demonstration of ongoing professional development and acommitment to providing high quality, safe and effective care that meets the needs of patients
•Ability to relate to patients and colleagues in a sensitive manner
•A flexible approach to work with the ability to work across a team rota (please specify what hours are required here)
•Keen to develop new skills and undertake clinical training
As a valued member of the team, we’ll offer you a competitive salary of £21,909 to £28,462 per annum including NHS pension, ongoing training and development and good quality working conditions.
