Job Description

We are one of the largest specialist mental health and learning disabilities trusts in the country, with an annual income of £320m and a workforce of some 6,700 staff operating from around 160 sites in Durham, Teesside, North Yorkshire and York and Selby. We provide a range inpatient and community services to 2m people living in County Durham, the Tees Valley, Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale, Harrogate, Hambleton and Richmondshire. We also provide additional specialist services to other parts of Northern England.

We deliver our services by working in partnership with eight local authorities and clinical commissioning groups, a wide range of voluntary organisations, as well as service users, their carers and the public. The services are spread over a wide geographical area of around 3,600 square miles, which includes coastal, rural and industrial areas.

We are currently looking for a RMN to work on Ward 15. The successful applicant will work alongside our established workforce delivering all aspects of care to promote choice and client independence.

We wish to recruit an individual who is flexible, enthusiastic and has a positive caring attitude towards our client group. In addition you will have excellent communication skills and hold a current and appropriate NMC registration. You will also be required to work a variety of shifts within a 24 hour period.

This post is being advertised to address a temporary need fixed term - 10 months however the Trust has made the commitment to offer the successful applicant a permanent contract with the Trust. In the event that the need for this post ends, a suitable alternative post will be offered.Applicants should be aware that alternatives may require some flexibility on role and/or location.
