Seward Lodge is a 16 bedded mental health unit owned by Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS foundation Trust. The unit has recently undergone extensive refurbishment to meet the specific needs of service users suffering from dementia aged 65 years and above. Seward Lodge also provides assessment and treatment for service users with a diagnosis of early onset dementia. The philosophy for the unit is to meet the Dementia standards including the benchmarks of the University of Stirling and the King's fund.
The unit is situated in the leafy market town of Hertford which is easily accessible by train and public transport.
The unit is looking for highly a motivated and efficient self-starter to work within the assessment and treatment inpatient team. The demands of the unit mean that the individual has to be versatile and flexible in order to meet service users’ needs. The organisation has a supportive and robust preceptorship scheme aimed at supporting newly-qualified nurses.
