Birmingham Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Birmingham Women’s Hospital (BWH) have a tremendous sense of shared mission and purpose, and have enjoyed a close working relationship for decades – particularly at the clinical level. Both trusts are currently working towards becoming a single organisation and the earliest this would take place is early 2017, subject to NHS Improvement approval. The proposed integration would mean that BWH staff will be subject to TUPE.

There is currently a vacancy for Registered Nurses within the Gynaecology Directorate.
The posts will involve working on the gynaecology inpatient ward/ day case ward. You will be able to gain experience in early pregnancy problems, uro-gynaecology, general gynaecology , and acute post-operative nursing.
You will be required to support the Ward Manager in ensuring high standards of care are delivered to patients. No previous experience working in Gynaecology is necessary, but you must be able to demonstrate a clear interest in Women’s Health. Successful Applicants will be required to work shifts and will be required to undertake internal rotation to night duty.
