We have some exciting opportunities in gynaecology for Registered Nurses.
Our Inpatients ward has 20 beds for women undergoing gynaecology and breast surgery. There are also some outlying patients from medicine and other surgical specialities which makes the day very busy but varied.
Our Emergency Gynaecology Assessment Unit (EGAU) incorporates telephone triage and review of women with early pregnancy or emergency gynaecology problems. We have a small treatment area, and a termination of pregnancy service, therefore staff working in EGAU are expected to be pro-choice. The Unit is open 7 days a week, with weekend working shared amongst staff.
You should have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will be able to contribute to a team approach, have excellent time management skills, and be able to prioritise and manage your own work load. In addition to this, you’ll be motivated to develop personally and professionally.
We will offer you many learning and development opportunities, and if you are a newly qualified member of staff, we will support you in your transition with our dedicated Preceptorship Programme.
We’d like the opportunity to find out more about you and tell you more about why our Unit is a great place to work.
Call Laura Rutherford, Lead Nurse on ( Phone number removed ) , Sister Jane Stockman on ( Phone number removed ) , or Aimee Palmer, Deputy Sister on ( Phone number removed ) for more information or to arrange an informal visit.

VALUES AND BEHAVIOURS
OUR VALUES - AT THE HEART OF ALL THAT WE DO
At Peterborough & Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust we not only recruit employees based on their qualifications and experience - we recruit individuals who possess (and are able to demonstrate) the behaviors which underpin the core values of our organisation.
Broadly, these values include such attributes as being dedicated, practicing the highest level of care towards everyone, showing courage and embracing innovation. We can bring those values to life in our everyday tasks by giving a smile; making time for people; challenging ourselves and others, and being open to new ideas.
Can you show us through your application and at interview how you would treat our patients with the compassion, dignity and respect they have a right to expect? Are you able to evidence behaviours that are supportive of your colleagues?
If you believe that you are able to meet these essential requirements, we would be very happy to consider your application.
