Band 5- Staff Nurse

From Autumn 2016 the Bart’s Heart Centre Coronary Care Units are changing, the new purpose built Electrophysiology CCU and Heart Attack Centre CCU will be co-located adjacent to each other with staff working across both units on an internal rotation basis.

This is an exciting time and an opportunity for Band 5 Nurses to join our team at the start of this journey helping shape and deliver our services. Ideally you will have cardiac experience but most importantly an enthusiasm to develop and an aspiration to contribute in providing world class care to our patients.

We are able to offer development positions rotating through both wards providing experience nursing patients in the acute cardiology environment including those undergoing electrophysiology device and interventional procedures. Both areas receive patients requiring level 2 inotropic, balloon pump and CPAP support. We would also like to hear from experienced Band 5 Nurses looking to gain further experience and develop their leadership skills in a busy forward thinking unit.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses to join our team that are able to:

• Demonstrate an understanding of acute nursing, preferably with experience in an acute area.

• Display effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Deliver high quality patient focused care.

• Commit to improving clinical practice.

• Share in personal and staff development.

Education, training and development are an important philosophy of the units and access is provided to courses both in-house and at partner universities, further support is provided by practice education team.
