The Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country. It provides a wide range of general and specialist clinical services and is a base for medical education, training and research.
The Trust comprises of four hospitals - the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Headington and the Horton Hospital in Banbury.
We have vacancies on several of the wards within Acute and General Medicine, the wards are fast paced but the environment is friendly and supportive.
It would be an excellent opportunity for nurses to gain a wide range of experience looking after acute medical conditions and ward management expertise. Rotational posts would be available if interested.
The posts are suitable for both newly qualified and experienced nurses who wish to specialize in one area of medical nursing.
Short Stay Ward and Acute Medical Wards
We have a variety of vacancies across our medical wards. These wards take acutely unwell patients from ED/EAU. There are opportunities to learn about caring for patients with a variety of acute medical problems, supported by a strong MDT dedicated to the care of complex medical patients.
