Job Description

Partnerships in Care are one of the UK’s leading providers of independent specialist secure and step-down care across the UK.

With hospitals around the country, 30 years of experience and highly experienced teams, we help patients and commissioners find the right care pathways, without the need for multiple reassessments.

Ellingham Hospital is a specialist CAMHS Tier 4 Service which includes low secure provision for young people age 12 to 18 years. We are also in the process of developing a transition service for those age 18 to 25 years which will be open in the new year 2016.

Our Staff Nurse role involves:

  • The comprehensive assessment of patients.
  • Planning and reviewing care plans in partnership with patients.
  • Compiling positive risk management plans for individuals within an evidence based framework.
  • Contributing to pre-admission assessment of referred patients.
  • Adhering at all times to the NMC code of professional conduct.
  • Maintaining health, safety, and security within legislative requirements and in adherence to identified standards and local policy.
  • Operating effectively as a team member.
  • Contributing to the development of others within the team, and act as associate mentor supporting students and newly qualified nurses.

To be successful as Staff Nurse, you’ll need

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly
  • Basic literacy skills
  • Basic knowledge of general mental health issues
  • Common sense approach to problem solving.
  • Basic numeracy skills
  • Appreciation of Mental Health problems.
  • Qualification as RMN / RNLD/ RMNH
  • Experience of interdisciplinary team work and coordination of care.
  • Experience of working with potentially aggressive and stressful situations.
  • Secure care experience/CAMHS an advantage
