Due to a new Surgical Level 1 area being developed we are recruiting Registered Nurses to join our friendly and professional team on Stonehouse Ward. Stonehouse ward is a surgical ward that primarily cares for both elective and emergency colorectal, Upper GI, Hepatobiliary and General Surgical patients. The ward prides itself on being a clean, organised environment that offers an excellent service to our diverse range of patients.

The 4 bed Level 1 area cares for patients who have been directly admitted from the Emergency Department or have been transferred from Intensive Care, Surgical Assessment Unit or Theatres. Due to the specialist nature of this area and the fact we are an ever growing Major Trauma Centre we occasionally also care for other specialities during the initial part of their recovery. The Level 1 area requires 1 Registered Nurse and 1 Health Care Assistant to be allocated at all times.

The Registered Nurse role within this area will enhance personal development in conjunction with our extensive surgical education package that we offer. We are looking for individuals who have demonstrable experience within a surgical field and a desire to make a difference. We encourage any interested Nurses to arrange an informal visit or attend our ‘Tea with Matron’ open house day on Wednesday 19th October.
