Staff Nurse
Job Description

Staff Nurse - Pre-assessment - RGN- Bank

We’re looking for an exceptional Pre-assessment Nurse with extensive clinical experience to join our nursing bank. So if you have a real passion for nursing and the desire to provide the highest standards of patient care.

Whether you’re currently working in the NHS or in a private setting, you may find constraints are preventing you from achieving job satisfaction. We’ll give you the opportunity to make full use of your skills as part of an organisation that values and respects you.

About this pre-assessment role

This role combines technical expertise with empathetic patient care. It’s not only about making correct assessments in accordance with protocols, but also about giving patients reassurance and support.

Reporting to the Outpatient Sister, you’ll be part of a close-knit team with matron-led care and consultant-led service. This role will give you opportunities to work with leading practitioners and to experience new practices, equipment and facilities.

Your key accountabilities will be:

  • Supervising and supporting clinical support staff and junior staff in the delivery of care, providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs
  • Delivering high quality patient care, which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate
  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care as part of a collaborative programme

Following a multi-million pound refurbishment, our hospital now has 4 state-of-the-art operating theatres, 50 bedrooms and a generous outpatient suite. Our team is passionate, caring, independent and enterprising. As a work environment, our hospital is friendly and welcoming, with an accessible and approachable management team.

Nursing qualifications, skills and values

As a nurse or practitioner registered with the appropriate governing body, you’ll have the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration. You’ll also have post-registration experience. Immediate / Advanced Life Support is desirable.

Like us, you believe in putting people first. So you’ll appreciate having the time to care – to fully understand each patient’s needs and give them and their families the comfort and reassurance that can mean so much. This is the type of care that comes naturally to a talented professional.

You’ll be an excellent communicator and team worker – flexible and motivated. As part of the wider hospital team, you’ll interact with practitioners from other areas because you understand that continuity in patient care is key.

You’ll find the support, training, generous benefits package and respect for balance that will enable you to enjoy a healthy work life.

This is an exciting time for us and it could be for you too. Our vision is to transform healthcare in the UK and deliver health as it should be. Our approach is unique – we’re bringing together assessment, treatment and prevention services to provide truly integrated care.

As the UK’s leading healthcare social enterprise, every penny we make is reinvested in our resources. It means that together, we can all do the right thing for our patients, clients and employees.
