Surgical Nurse Rotation
The Hillingdon Hospitals Surgery Division is now offering an 18 Month Surgery Rotation for all Band 5 staff Nurses seeking a preceptorship in Surgery. Preceptorship is a structured programme of competency based skills and reflection, to be achieved within the 18 month rotational programme.
The rotation is structured to ensure that our Nurses get to gain specialist skills, career development and experience in a variety of settings. There will be two six month placements on our surgical wards and one six month placement in a specialist area such as Theatres or ITU.
The programme consists of taught study days and competencies to be achieved in the work base.
