If you want to make a difference and the answer is yes then a post at Northampton General Hospital working within the Stroke pathway could be the place for you!

The Stroke unit is supported by an enthusiastic and highly experienced team of ward based Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Therapists and our ward has a body of Consultants and ward based doctors who are on rotation.

We strive to offer an excellent standard of care and we are looking to recruit both experienced Nurses in the care of Stroke Patients as well as those nurses who wish to develop skills in this specialist area.

Stroke Nursing is an ever changing speciality and you will get the opportunity to nurse patients with some complex conditions on a very busy but friendly ward which can be challenging but highly rewarding.

We are looking for motivated, innovative and enthusiastic individuals to join our great team in delivering high quality care to patients following Stroke. You will be required to work both autonomously and part of a team in caring for the acutely unwell patient including the ability to work empathically with clients and their families. You will also be expected to establish and maintain a high standard of nursing practice, ensuring that quality of care provided is continually informed by best evidence-based practice. In return we can offer you the opportunity to develop Specialist Nursing skills and undertake further study and training if desired.
