Job Description

Brief Description of the Role:

We have 3 vacancies for enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate Band 5 registered nurses.

If you wish to continue your learning and development, to further enhance your skills, and be able to promote excellent patient care, then we need you to come and join our extended family on Ward 18 where you will make new friends and care for patients in a friendly and mutually supportive environment.

Ward 18 is a forward thinking pro-active 20 bedded surgical ward, that caters for a variety of patients. We specialise in ENT / Ophthalmology / Maxillo-Facial surgery with a quick turn-over of patients.

We also have a 4 bedded Progressive Care Unit where our more dependant Head and Neck patients are nursed post - ICU. The high level of nursing care and expertise involved in caring for these patients is reflected in the staff :patient ratio.

You would also be involved in our ENT Pre-Assessment Clinic, where you are responsible for assessing our patients for surgery and providing them with an insight into their journey whilst on Ward 18.

A structured preceptorship period of training and development will be provided with the support of our Practice and Professional Development Sister.

A wide variety of experience can be gained for the successful candidates.

Effective and efficient patient flow is essential and your role is to provide excellent nursing care and compassion in line with the rest of the team, providing excellent nursing care and promoting positive patient experiences and outcomes.

The posts will involve both day and night duty.
