Following the retirement of the current post holder, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Superintendent Sonographer at Bronglais Hospital Aberystwth (west Wales) The Department of Diagnostic Imaging requires a dynamic, effective and motivated leader for the ultrasound service.

We are a busy well equipped department carrying out most types of ultrasound examinations. We are a forward-looking department committed to training and role development.

The post holder will manage the ultrasound team, and maintain the departmental culture in which all staff are continually reviewing practice to ensure a high quality services. Working closely with the Radiology Superintendents and modality leads from other areas to ensure delivery of quality, timely diagnostic imaging. The post holder is expected to work with the radiologists in planning their work load and case mix. The postholder will perform clinical ultrasound sessions to maintain their clinical expertise and act as a clinical and professional lead to sonographers.
