Role Description
Do you want to join a busy and enthusiastic team who are proud to enable people with a learning disability to learn new skills, undertake tasks for themselves and live independently?

We have various contracts available in our service in Great Tey and welcome applications from those looking for permanent full or part time and relief contracts. Working times will be on a rota basis with shifts spread across the weekdays, weekends and bank holidays including mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins. Flexibility is therefore vital to this role If you live in the Colchester, Braintree, Marks Tey, Earls Colne, Fordham and nearby areas, we would love to hear from you.

Our service is currently home to 6 adults ( 5 males and 1 female) who all have varying levels of needs. The people we support are very active are all between the ages of 24-38. They love going out to different places such as the cinema, zoo, pub, gateway clubs and going on holiday. The support we provide includes providing support with access to the community via public transport and use of the service mini bus. We also provide support with daily living skills like cooking, cleaning, travel training etc. There are elements of personal care involved in this role. We have just started an allotment at the service teaching the people we support to grow their own fruit and veg and in the next couple of weeks will be getting some chickens. If you are a fun loving person who is looking for a job where you will be fulfilled and still make a positive difference in someone's life then this is the job for you.

Due to the location of the service and minimal public transport, drivers are preferred however if you can get to work any other way i.e car share, bike, moped or scooter we would also love to hear from you
