Shifts - Day Support 12 hours per day - two week rolling rota every other weekend off.

Elston House is a post-19 extended residential service. It caters for young people and adults with autism and severe learning difficulties often accompanied by complex needs and challenging behaviour. Our focus is on development of learnt life skills.
Facilities available at Elston House
State-of-the-art facilities at Elston House include an activities room with networked computers and a sensory room. Each bedroom has an en-suite shower or bathroom in order to meet the need for privacy and dignity.
Outside there are extensive grounds that cover approximately 5 acres with a safe enclosed garden and managed woodlands.
When individuals come to our care they can often be mentally and emotionally fragile, due to the transition and change. We believe that creating a calm and inviting environment we can enhance a person's progress and self-esteem to help them on their care pathway.
Our communal living spaces are fresh, spacious and encourage social interaction. In addition, our staff to individual ratio is an important element of our service. A number of clinical studies have demonstrated the positive impact that high staff ratios have on individual development and standard of care, our standard ratio is one staff member for every two people in our care.
Cambian locked rehabilitation hospitals specialise in enabling adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to develop the necessary skills to move toward greater independence with increased social functioning and inclusion through a personalised care pathway.
This job involves caring and supporting our residents in all aspects of their lives to enable them to develop their skills and enhance their ability to access the community. By carrying out these responsibilities well, you will be helping to provide the best possible quality of care for those who live at Cambian Elston House You will also be helping to create a pleasant working environment for other people who work here.
Full induction training is given. You will also learn from some of the most dedicated and inspirational people in our profession and just like our residents you will be learning all the time through our on-going mentoring and support.
You will be a strong team player, confident and motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you’ll be someone with a genuine desire to help others.
Preferably you will have experience with adults with Learning Disabilities / Autism
