Craegmoor has services across England, Wales and Scotland, all providing innovative, creative support enabling people with mental health problems, autism and learning disabilities to live the lives they want and have the opportunities they deserve.
Based in Stenhousemuir, Dunvegan provides a warm and homely living environment for people with learning disabilities, physical support needs, autism and challenging behaviour. The service also has a dementia unit. Our aim is to promote independence and ensure that each individual supported here is given the opportunity to achieve the best they can.
At Dunvegan we recognise that every person is an individual with their own individual strengths. We support people with all aspects of their lives including education, employment and social activities whilst actively encouraging independence
As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.
The successful candidates will be required to apply for a PVG from Disclosure Scotland. Further information can be obtained from www.disclosurescotland.co.uk. We are an equal opportunities employer.
