Job Description

We have various Relief & part-time positions available - However we will consider full-time for the right candidate.

Our person centred, professional teams are looking for a responsible and motivated Support Workers to join them to support Adults with a range of needs in 3 different services in Tewkesbury, easily accessible and minutes away from motorway connections.

The services support adults with learning disability, physical impairment and sensory impairment, you will be supporting them to lead as full lives as possible.

You will be joining an experienced, committed and supportive Service Manager who has been with Mencap for over 20 years and has looked after a variety of different services.

Successful candidates we be willing to work flexibly, working on a rota basis throughout the week and at weekends : This will be including sleep-ins shifts.

The rota is done 4 weeks in advance, this gives you plenty of time to plan that all important personal time.

The people we support need assistance with daily living skills, personal care, gaining access to the community, shopping, assistance with medication, attending college and attending health appointments and so much more. No two days will ever be the same!!

You will need to have:

• Good people skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and within a constantly changing environment
• Ability to complete paperwork.
• A willingness to participate in sleep-ins is highly desirable
