Teacher - Assessment Centre - Part Time (2 days per week) - £20k-33k pro rata - North Wales
This post would be suited to a creative and enthusiastic teacher who is able to deliver a varied curriculum to a range of different qualifications including WJEC, GCSE in core subjects, Entry level qualifications, Functional Skills and other courses considered relevant to meet the needs of the students. You will be teaching young people in groups of three, in pairs or individually one-to-one. You will be an outstanding teacher with a commitment to engaging reluctant learners in education and to improving the quality of life for children and young people in care.
In return, you will have the opportunity to benefit from outstanding staff training and access to an excellent range of support and benefits. You will ensure that the young people are treated with concern, respect, and integrity and oversee any curriculum area for which you have been delegated responsibility, in consultation with your line manager, rather than specialise in a particular subject.
This company is a leading provider of therapeutic residential care, independent education, and integrated clinical services for children and young people with complex needs. With over 30 years experience they deliver specialist services for young people aged 10-18+, from crisis and assessment placements, through to long-term placements and preparation for independent living. With an excellent reputation and enviable training processes, this is an organisation that provides a thoroughly rewarding career path to those with a genuine passion for improving the lives of young people.
You will be dedicated to the education and support of young people and will be an experienced multi-subject teacher who has some experience with special needs teaching. You will be creative and flexible, able to adapt to individual needs and tailor your teaching to maximise the benefit for young people with challenging needs.
This is a chance to join a well-established and respected organisation which is committed to improving the lives and futures of people between the ages of 11 and 18. The role carries a competitive salary, excellent training opportunities and the intangible reward of knowing you have helped shape a better future for young people.
