An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band 7 Team Leader for the Adult Mental Health Assessment and Treatment Service in Mid Sussex.

The post is open to all mental health professionals with significant clinical leadership and managerial experience, preferably in a community mental health setting.

You will manage highly engaged and compassionate multi disciplinary team with an impressive performance record. There 3 key areas of responsibility are: management of referrals including delivery of care, performance monitoring and management, and line Management and supervision of staff.

It's a really exciting time to join our service as we are implementing 6 communities of practice model in North West Sussex. The aim of the 6 communities model is to ensure that all health and social care services work more closely to maximise the health and wellbeing of the local communities. You will also be able to contribute to the Psychosis, Personality Disorder or Affective Disorders integrated pathways.

Mid Sussex is well supported by third sector providers in tier 2 and other organisations. Our forward looking and supportive Team will encourage you to develop your own specialist skills, knowledge and competence through participation, reflection, supervision and training and your development will be guided using the Trusts appraisal process.

The Trust offers an accredited leadership course which all our leaders complete. The post will be based in Hayward’s Heath which is really easy to commute to from Brighton and the surrounding areas.

Successful candidates are normally offered salaries at the bottom of the relevant salary range. However, where previous or equivalent NHS experience in a similar role can be demonstrated and evidenced, this may be taken into consideration when setting the starting salary.
