We are seeking a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated Team Leader to supervise, motivate and support the Recovery team in developing the recovery service in our Theatre department at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital and to ensure the delivery of high quality patient-focused safe care.
As part of the role, you will be expected to review, develop, update and implement recovery policies and procedures, conduct clinical audits and incident investigations for the team. You will be vital in ensuring compliance by the team to the Care Quality Commission Standards and other legislative requirements.
You will also be ‘hands-on’ as part of the team and will deliver high quality, clinically effective patient care. We can offer you a varied surgical caseload that will help you develop your capabilities and experience. You will enjoy the real respect, rapport and effective working of a close-knit, highly skilled, multidisciplinary team.
The position is full-time and shifts will include days, evenings and weekends plus on-call duties.

Founded in 1969, Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital was originally built from funds raised by the local community and is now one of the leading providers of private healthcare in Leicestershire. The Hospital has a strong local reputation with patients remaining loyal. The Hospital had a £45 million refurbishment in 2011 and was the blue print for the wider Hospitals refresh programme.
The Hospital has 39 ensuite inpatient beds, 2 Laminar flow theatres, Endoscopy Suite, minor treatment room and 14 consulting rooms. The hospital delivers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient treatments and services using the best possible technologies. Since 2015 we have invested in a static MRI unit, a new digital X ray room & digital mammography. We are a local centre of excellence for Children and Young People Services. Having a Fitness & Wellbeing Gym in Leicester has led to a close working relationship and the Hospital was a forerunner for the Nuffield recovery plus programme.
We are interested in hearing from registered ODP’s or Theatre Nurses with relevant post-registration qualification experience with proven recovery skills of 5 years or more. In addition, competency in Intravenous Drug Administration is required.
You will have excellent communication skills, good time management and organisational skills and Immediate Life Support (ILS). Experience as a Team Leader or Senior member of staff is desirable along with qualifications in teaching and assessment.
