Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Operating Theatre (Scrub) Practitioner to join our client's busy perioperative team at their acute hospital site. The hospital is based in semi-rural surroundings, in a greenbelt village just outside Orpington, Greater London.
This is a full-time role but our clients would be open to hearing from practitioners seeking to negotiate a part-time opportunity.

Our client is a major provider of independent healthcare in the UK. Working with many of London’s most experienced Consultants and other healthcare specialists, this hospital offers outstanding Acute Surgical care with the aid of the latest medical technology and on-site support services.

The successful candidate will assemble, check and prepare the appropriate surgical equipment, co-ordinate the use of supplies and carry out mandatory patient/surgical checks, while applying well-developed clinical reasoning skills.

Person Requirements:
RGN or ODP with full registration with the NMC or HCPC (not requiring a period of supervised placement).
Typically at least one year's Operating Theatre experience; may also consider capable and articulate graduate Operating Department Practitioners with a desire to develop into the Scrub role.
