Weston super Mare has grown to become one of the country's most popular seaside destinations, with a fabulous sandy beach, donkey rides and candy floss. The beach is complemented by lively bars, popular restaurants and of course, the famous pier, which was severely damaged by fire in July 2008 and re-opened to great acclaim in 2010.
Weston also has a number of new housing developments, an Ofsted ‘outstanding’ college with a number of sites including a University Campus. Weston truly has a family friendly culture making it a wonderful place to live and work.
North Somerset, the surrounding county, has a fabulous coastline along with superb English countryside. Should you be relocating to Weston, you'll find yourself visiting famous sites such as Cheddar Gorge sooner or later.
The large, diverse cities of Bristol and Bath are only a short journey by car or train, and our convenient location just off Junction 21 of the M5 means the rest of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall are virtually on the doorstep.
Caring for you with P.R.I.D.E our Trust values
May we take this opportunity to introduce you to our P.R.I.D.E Campaign, which sought to describe what working at Weston Area Health NHS Trust should mean for individuals. We have simplified the Trust values to make direct links to what is important to us on a day to day basis which are:
P - People
R - Reputation
I - Innovation
D - Dignity
E - Excellence
