Our philosophy Cwm Taf Cares is at the heart of everything we do as we are committed to the health, wellbeing and development of our staff.
We provide hospital and community based services to people living in Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr Tydfil. Our vision is to care for our communities and patients by preventing ill-health, promoting better health, providing excellent services and reducing the need for inpatient care wherever possible through the provision of strengthened home, primary and community care.
Applications are now invited for the post of therapeutic lead nurse for our adult acute mental health inpatient unit.
Our aim is to deliver care which improves the lives of our service users and their families, with dignity, respect and compassion. we believe that our service users should not only comply with regulatory standards but they should also deliver excellence and promote overall wellbeing.
Using your skills and experience, you will be required to but not limited to:-
1)undertake independent assessments with a focus on reablement
2)deliver therapeutic programmes to support service users from admission through to discharge
3)ensure the levels of care and support remains centred around the person's physical, social, emotional and cultural needs
4) provide expert advice knowledge to staff via formal and informal training, instruction, evaluation and support
5)Promote and ensure best practice across all services through regular monitoring and evaluation of therapeutic packages
you will need to have excellent communication and time management
a good understanding of the therapeutic initiative within the inpatient service.
You will have a flexible approach to working patterns
Have assessment skills
Have the ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
