As a Tissue Viability Nurse based at University Hospital Crosshouse you will be accountable to the Clinical Nurse Specialist and assist in developing evaluating and managing the Tissue Viability Service within NHS Ayrshire and Arran. A large percentage of the time will be spent on your clinical workload within hospital and community where you will provide specialist advise to practitioners in complex wound management based on best available evidence. You will also be required to develop and deliver education to all disciplines of staff assist in developing guidelines and policies and work closely with the team to continually improve the service. You will hold a degree or be working towards degree level be able to demonstrate post registration education in Tissue Viability and have extensive knowledge in pressure ulcer prevention and management and leg ulcer assessment and management. You must be able to demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills when working with staff across the NHS and Social care sectors at all levels.
