Trainee Advanced Nurse Practitioner - Stroke Services
As part of the innovative and ongoing development of our stroke services at Aintree Hospital, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced clinical stroke nurse to undertake a 3 year training programme on the Advanced Nurse Practitioner pathway at Msc level where you will develop appropriate advanced clinical skills and qualifications to enable you to undertake this exciting but demanding role.
Dedicated and dynamic applicants are required to join our highly motivated and proactive stroke team. Excellent and advanced clinical knowledge of stroke are essential with the determination and drive to make a difference. The successful candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and good verbal and written communication skills. You will be familiar with national guidelines, pathways and treatments for stroke.
You will be highly motivated and demonstrate the ability to work independently, autonomously and safely within your clinical competency. As a positive role model you will lead by example and uphold the high standards of care and efficiency delivered by the stroke service. You will have proactive involvement in SSNAP, education programme and service development.
Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years experience working at a senior nurse level within a stroke care/service environment.
We are passionate about this role, and in ensuring you are supported and developed continually, with appropriate supervision from you medical colleagues, whilst ensuring you play a key role within the multidisciplinary team.
