Job Description

Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a teaching Trust which is looking to appoint Trust Doctors (core trainee level) as part of the Leeds and Wakefield Core Training Scheme. The post(s) will be based in Leeds and the appointment will be up to six months in Psychiatry.

All applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have acquired competencies that would be expected by the end of Foundation Training.

You will be expected to carry out rota commitments in the daytime and out of hours.

The Trust is keen to support the on-going development and career progression of Trust Doctors. Your consultant clinical supervisor will be an approved educational supervisor who will be able to help develop your portfolio. You will also have protected time allocated in your timetable to attend internal continuing professional development (e.g. case conferences, journal clubs and audit).

This year, Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust was ranked in the top ten for the GMC trainee/trainer survey and was rated 4th in the country.

In 2013, Leeds and York NHS Foundation Trust was nationally recognised for an outstanding contribution to improving junior doctors training as part of Health Education England, Better Training Better Care Programme.

The Director of Medical Education will provide successful candidates with pastoral support who, was highly accredited nationally in the Better Training Better Care Programme.
