Trust Junior Doctor in Acute Medicine – initially for 12 months based at Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust.
Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation NHS Trust has previously participated in the National Emergency Services Collaborative and is fully committed to the continuous development and improvement of acute medical care.
This post will provide excellent experience in a District General Hospital setting for doctors who wish to pursue a career in Acute Medicine or provide training in acute medicine for general practice. All staff at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust (CHFT) attend a formal induction course, which includes further training and life support. In addition all junior doctors are expected to attend specialty specific induction/local orientation. CHFT has a Clinical Skills Training Room which is equipped with Simulation mannequins for training and practice procedures, including chest drain insertion and central venous cannulation. There are weekly core teaching sessions in the Education Centre which cover a wide range of topics.
