Trust Grade Registrars ST3+ General Surgery
Salary: £30,302 - £40,090 plus out of hours supplement
We have posts available for budding surgeons with full MRCS and minimum four years postgraduate experience to join our dynamic team at NUH – one of the biggest and busiest acute trusts in the UK. You might be a former trainee who has not yet secured a national training number in general surgery or a doctor from overseas wishing to take the next steps in their UK career having already gained NHS experience at junior level. The posts are available for 6-12 months and are an ideal opportunity to build on your CV not only in terms of clinical experience but in teaching, audit and / or research putting you in a strong position for a successful appointment to a higher training post. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to rotate through more than one surgical specialty, gaining experience and skills as they go. You will be given a specific supervisor from the clinical firm you are working in and they will provide tailored support to help you to gain the experience you need. Duties will include responsibility for pre and post-surgery patients on our wards, attendance in theatres, support to outpatient clinics and participation in the middle grade out of hours rota.
All candidates will need to hold full GMC registration and a license to practice at the time of appointment.
