Job Description

Based in Guildford, the Royal Surrey County Hospital (RSCH) is a leading general hospital with 507 beds and specialist centre for cancer services and treatment. The RSCH serves a population of 320,000 for emergency and general hospital services and 12 million people for cancer services. The hospital has an annual income of £330 million. Trust Practitioner in ENT - FY2/ST1/ST2 Level

This is a varied and interesting role in which the post holder will take part in theatre sessions; outpatient clinics and minor oral surgery under local anaesthetic. The post holder will also be expected to assist in the day-to-day care of patients on the ward. This will entail some clerking, preparation of operating lists and attendance on the daily ward round.

There is an on call commitment to this post which will enable the successful candidate to further increase their management and clinical skills.

This post will be based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital where a broad range of ENT Surgery is practiced. The department is linked to that of St Peter’s Hospital in Chertsey, Ashford Hospital and Epsom District Hospital.

The Royal Surrey County Hospital is a large modern hospital, situated on a green field site on the outskirts of Guildford, in a very attractive part of the country. Guildford is an old market town in a strategic position in Surrey, with excellent road and rail links to London, Heathrow and Gatwick airports, to the South Coast and to the West of England. Guildford offers excellent shopping, entertainment and sports facilities. There is a wide choice of state and independent schools locally; all of which have good reputations.
