With a budget of around £270m, three hospitals and 5,500 staff, North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital-based services to the population of Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and parts of East Durham and Sedgefield as well as community, therapeutic and screening to a wider population across Durham and Teesside.

WOM3288 Trust Doctor North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust Directorate of Women & Children Services Trust Doctor – Middle Grade Obstetrics and Gynaecology Salary M25 £31,614 – 47,647 for 6months, extendable to one year Applications are invited for a fixed term trust doctor post at middle grade (Second on call)level in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The successful candidates will contribute to the general obstetric and gynaecology service to include second on-call cover for obstetrics and emergency gynaecology. The successful candidates will be expected to work at both the University Hospital of Hartlepool and the University Hospital of North Tees, Stockton-on-Tees. The successful candidates will be expected to work at both the University Hospital of North Tees and the University Hospital of Hartlepool. Both sites offer a full range of outpatient clinics and day case gynaecological surgery. The North Tees site is the site for emergency work and it houses the inpatient gynaecology beds and the Consultant led delivery suite. Active participation in undergraduate and postgraduate training is expected and there will be the opportunity of learning scanning skills in both obstetrics and gynaecology. Opportunities also exist in medical education. Applicants must possess MRCOG Part 1 or equivalent qualification/training at the time of interview and have had some experience in middle grade rotas. This post is deemed to require a Disclosure Check – Enhanced Level with the Criminal Records Bureau. This is due to the fact the post has access to children or vulnerable adults.
