BMI Healthcare’s Chelsfield Park Hospital in Orpington has a vacancy for an Ultrasonographer to join their team of staff within the Fertility Services Department.

Working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

It is essential that applicants have the following:

  • DCR(R), BSc or recognised equivalent qualification in diagnostic radiography.
  • Post qualification in Diagnostic Ultrasound.
  • Current HCPC (Health Professions Council) registration.
  • Observe all current codes of professional conduct as may be laid down by the Health Professions Council, Society of Radiographers, BMI Healthcare or any other professional organisation relating to diagnostic radiography and ultrasound.

Duties of this role include:

  • Working with the Fertility Manager to provide a high standard service
  • To provide gynaecological ultrasound imagery and reporting to high technical and patient care standards.
  • Follicular tracking imagery
  • To be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the Ultrasound Equipment.
  • Manage and plan individual follicular tracking
  • To support the Manager and the other Team members of the department.
  • Undertake other ultra-sonographer duties as necessary.
  • Report all equipment malfunctions or faults to the manager or R.P.S. and if necessary undertake any further action to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
  • Participate in and contribute to Quality Assurance within the Unit.
  • Ensure HFEA compliance
  • Participate in and contribute to the constant monitoring and reviewing of our service standards.
