Situated in a beautiful part of the West Midlands, within a quiet woodland area, Lyndon Hall Care Home is a large two storey specially converted 80 bedded care home offering Dementia, Nursing, Respite and End of Life care.At Lyndon Hall Care Home Residents have a choice of lounge areas with scenic views of our gardens which feature comfortable and specially designed furnishings. We have a range of comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms; some of our rooms also have views across the garden. At Lyndon Hall our Chefs pride themselves in knowing the tastes of our Residents and preparing a choice of home cooked, fresh, nutritional meals and catering for any dietary and cultural needs.At HC-One our experienced Home Managers and members of staff ensure kindness is at the heart of everything we do.

HC-One is looking to appoint a Care Assistant to join them on their exciting journey to provide the kindest possible care. With a kind, caring and calm approach, the role involves assisting with the care of Residents and attending to all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual). Working as part of a team in a busy care home environment the successful candidate will achieve the required standards whilst also ensuring Residents retain their dignity and individuality.

Reporting to the home manager, the Unit Manager will be accountable for the smooth running of a nursing unit within the care home providing leadership and direction to the nursing and care staff.  You will ensure that all residents have their individual care needs adhered to at all times.

You will be a team player.  Kindness will be second nature to you.  You will have a keen eye for detail, always act with integrity and be driven by the principles of fairness.  You will behave in a transparent manner always showing respect to our residents, their families and your colleagues. 

You will be a nurse with previous clinical leadership experience.  In previous roles, you will have been in charge of individual shifts delegating duties to nurses and care staff.  You will also have previous experience of assisting in the development of colleagues either through supervision or mentorship plus previous experience providing nursing care in an elderly and dementia setting.

Salary is based on 44 hours FTE and will be pro-rated accordingly
