Barchester Healthcare is looking for an outstanding Unit Nurse Manager (Mental Health) to lead, plan, manage, direct and monitor the delivery of high quality mental health and nursing care to our residents.

Reporting to the General Manager/ Deputy General Manager, you will be expected to maintain professional and clinical standards and strive for continuous clinical improvement.
You will need to hold a current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (Mental Health or Learning Disabilities) and provide evidence of continuing professional development alongside a teaching and mentor/ supervision qualification. Ideally, you will have a nursing degree, or be willing to undertake education to degree level.
You must have up to date knowledge of clinical practices and a strong understanding of the CQC and regulatory requirements and framework. You must also have an awareness of the clinical policy framework, DoLS/ MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
You will have experience of working in an older person setting and producing well developed care plans, undertaking risk assessments and leading a clinical team. You will also have HR, clinical performance and complaint management experience and a track record of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship.
