Job Description

Ward Manager - RMN - CAMHS - Bury, Manchester - £40,000 per annum - Permanent, Full Time

My client is one of the largest healthcare providers in mental health across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop the service and offer a real chance to progress due to the expansion plans in the hospital over the up and coming years. The ideal Ward Manager will relish a challenge and be a motivated and enthusiastic leader.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working within either a secure setting or a CAMHS setting. You will be responsible for the clinical direction of the service, providing clinical supervision for the ward team and implementing best practice and will participate fully with the clinical team and support changes within the service.

You must be experienced in delivering and receiving supervision, have excellent leadership skills with the ability to be able to assess and prioritise clinical situations. The management of effective communication between medical and nursing staff both verbal and written is a key element of this role.

As a Ward Manager (RMN) you need to:

•Motivate team members and lead by example
•Support the team in making clear and consistent clinical decisions
•Lead on risk assessment and training for the services
•Develop opportunity for service users and carers to be involved in service development
•Implement systems for supervision and appraisal
•Carry out assessments and liaise with referrers and communicate well with outside agencies

As a Ward Manager RMN, you will have:

•An RMN qualification
•A current registration with the NMC
•The legal right to work in the UK
