Location: Wiltshire

Salary: £38,000-£43,000

Hours: Full Time

Contract Type: Permanent

Further Details: For the position of Ward Manager we are currently looking for a highly motivated forward thinking registered nurse to lead a fantastic team of healthcare and administrative staff caring for pre and post-operative surgical patients at a fantastic Hospital in Northamptonshire. What you'll be doing:

  • As Ward Manager you will be rostering of staff to ensure skill mix appropriate for activity.
  • As Ward Manager you will participate in Clinical Governance agenda, ensuring audits undertaken, investigation of incidents/complaints
  • As Ward Manager you will participate in care delivery, acting as a role model ensuring the highest levels of professional standard
  • Optimise efficient use of consumables and stock levels
  • The Ward Manager will have regular interaction with the Maintenance Department to ensure service dates for all ward equipment are adhered to and service contracts maintained

What you'll need:


  • AS Ward Managet you will be a Registered General Nurse
  • Valid NMC registration
  • Immediate Life Support
  • ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Diploma/degree in a health related subject
  • AS Ward Manager you will have strong clinical background as a ward nurse
  • Significant exposure in a senior role to external stakeholders such as Consultants, Physicians, Allied Health professionals, patients and suppliers


  • Independent sector experience
  • Advanced Life Support
  • Experience developing clinical pathways
  • Experience as a senior sister or equivalent
