Job Description

The Specialty Medicine team (Cardiac, Respiratory and Medical Specialties) are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated Ward Matron to join our Leadership Team at Kettering General Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Ward Matron Band 7 or an experienced Ward Sister/Charge Nurse who wants to develop into a Ward Matron position on the Coronary Care unit and Oakley Ward.

Oakley Ward is adjacent to CCU and the successful candidate will work closely with the Band 7 already in post to further develop the Cardiology Service in line with the Cardiology strategy.

The Trust has clear leadership and development opportunities working with higher education providers and the NHS Leadership Academy.

Are you an experienced Senior Nurse who can lead a team and demonstrate wide-ranging Cardiology skills and competency in clinical practice. The Cardiology Team delivers the countywide Primary PCI Service, Device implantations, Heart Failure and Cardiac Rehabilitation services

Supported by Lead Nurses you will be encouraged to lead your area independently and develop and embed your ideas to promote excellent nursing care. As this is a senior role you will be expected to act as a liaison point and contribute to the hospital leadership team as a whole.
